Pahlawan Dulu dan Kini (English Available)

Kalau kita mencermati secara “netral”, slogan-slogan dalam poster para calon legislatif( baca : wakil rakyat karena punya misi meningkatan taraf hidup rakyat juga), tidak sedikit menggunakan kata-kata heroik seperti : “Berjuang demi rakyat ..”, “saatnya rakyat memimpin”, slogan ini saya katakan slogan kepahlawanan, karena memperjuangkan rakyat, dimana yang menyerukannnya tentunya kita sebut pahlawan..
Tetapi apakah pahlawan(baca: calon legislatif) itu sama dengan pahlawan tempoe doloe dalam hal: semangat, rasa kebangsaan memiliki negeri ini(sense of belong), dan tujuan dalam memperjuangkan negeri ini. Jika pahlawan dulu tidak pernah memikirkan berapa bayaran apa yang saya peroleh jika ikut turun dalam medan perang, dan juga tidak pernah merasa “eman” dalam mengorbankan harta benda, dan berani juga meninggalkan keluarga hanya demi mempertahankan NKRI kita.
DPR atau kata umumnya wakil rakyat, dimana sekali lagi secara netral, saya sebut pahlawan, karena tugasnya memperjuangkan rakyat(baca: lebih tepatnya suara rakyat), walaupun pahlawan kita ini, tidak perlu memegang senjata(ada wacana iap anggota DPR diberi hak pegang senjata) , tidak perlu berkorban nyawa dalam melawan penjajah(cukup berkelahi didalam ruang siding), tidak perlu meninggalkan anak istri(karma saat ugas, anak istri boleh dibawa) tetapi tugas pahlawan kita ini tidak kalah penting dan sangat berperan sebagai pengotrol pemerintah dan menyalurkan aspirasi suarabaca: kehendak) dari kita semua, tidak ada DPR, pemerintah bisa seenaknya mengatur anggaran, tidak da DPR rakyat hanya sebagai budak pembayar pajak, tidak ada DPR Negara Indonesia masih tetap seperti kerajaan bukan negara kesatuan.
Itulah beda pahlawan dulu dan kini, kalau pahlawan doloe, semuanya dipersilahkan ikut berperang, pahlawan sekarang, mau maju jadi Caleg, harus berjuang juga, mengalahkan pesaing-pesaing yang lain(ada rumor kalau bayarnya/setorannya dikit dapet nomernya nomer sepatu). Kalau pahlawan dulu tidak pernah merasa ada warna, pokoknya kalu membela warga, rakyat Indonesia itulah warna saya, sekarang kalau tidak hijau, berarti kita beda, walaupun yang warna hijau, merah, kuning sama-sama mempunyai visi sama: “Perjuangkan rakyat”, tetapi karena beda warna ya beda barisan.
Sungguh ironis pahlawan doloe, jika melihat pahlawan jaman sekarang(baca: Legislatif), kalau pahlawan doloe, tidak pernah memikirkan, berapa bayaran yang saya terima, pahlawan jaman sekarang justru bisa menentukan biaya kunjungan ke daerah, dimana tahun 2009 nanti akan naik biayanya lebih dari 200 %, dimana pertanyaan yang muncul dan harus kita segera refleksikan, sudah pantaskan pahlawan jaman sekarang(baca: legislatif) kita sebut pahlawan, dengan melihat kinerja pahlawan sekarang tersebut (baca:DPR) ?
Silahkan anda jawab sendiri, terus terang saya hanya bisa memperingatkan kepada reka semua, bahwa kita adalah pahlawan jika kita berani mendahulukn kepentingan orang lain, daripada kepentingan diri sendiri, kita adalah pahlawan jika kita memberi manfaat kepada orang lain, kita adalah pahlawan jika kita berusaha memajukan negeri ini, kita adalah pahlawan jika kita beribadah sesuai keyakinan kita, kita adalah pahlawan jika kita membenarkan yang benar, dan kita adalah pahlawan pemegang amanah dari pahlawan terdahulu dalam meneruskan kemerdekan ini.

Heroes Then and Now
If we observe "neutrally", the slogans in the posters of legislative candidates (read: people's representatives because they have a mission to improve people's living standards too), not a few use heroic words such as: "Fighting for the people..", "it's time for the people to lead", I call this slogan a heroism slogan, because it fights for the people, where those who call for it we certainly call heroes..
But are these heroes (read: legislative candidates) the same as heroes of the past in terms of: spirit, sense of national belonging to this country (sense of belonging), and goals in fighting for this country. If heroes of the past never thought about how much payment I would get if I went down to the battlefield, and also never felt "regret" in sacrificing property, and dared to leave their families just to defend our NKRI (Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia).
DPR (House of Representatives) or commonly called people's representatives, where once again neutrally, I call heroes, because their duty is to fight for the people (read: more precisely the people's voice), although our heroes do not need to hold weapons (there is a discourse that every DPR member is given the right to hold weapons), do not need to sacrifice their lives in fighting invaders (enough fighting in the courtroom), do not need to leave their children and wives (because when on duty, children and wives can be brought) but the task of our heroes is no less important and plays a very important role as a government controller and channeling aspirations (read: will) from all of us, without DPR, the government can arbitrarily regulate the budget, without DPR the people are only tax-paying slaves, without DPR the State of Indonesia is still like a kingdom not a unitary state.
That is the difference between heroes then and now, if heroes of the past, everyone was welcome to join the war, heroes now, want to run as legislative candidates, must fight too, defeating other competitors (there is a rumor that if the payment/deposit is small, they get a shoe size number). If heroes of the past never felt there was a color, anyway if defending citizens, the people of Indonesia that is my color, now if not green, it means we are different, even though the green, red, yellow colors all have the same vision: "Fight for the people", but because of different colors, different lines.
It is truly ironic for heroes of the past, if looking at heroes of today (read: Legislative), if heroes of the past, never thought, how much payment I received, heroes of today can actually determine the cost of visits to regions, where in 2009 the cost will increase by more than 200%, where the question that arises and we must immediately reflect on, is it appropriate for heroes of today (read: legislative) we call heroes, by looking at the performance of these current heroes (read: DPR)?
Please answer it yourself, frankly I can only warn all colleagues, that we are heroes if we dare to prioritize the interests of others, rather than self-interest, we are heroes if we benefit others, we are heroes if we try to advance this country, we are heroes if we worship according to our beliefs, we are heroes if we justify what is right, and we are heroes holding the mandate from previous heroes in continuing this independence.
